We will be hosting a GIS workshop that will prepare teachers assigned to teach GIS classes. Members of MSGIC (the Maryland State Geographic Information Committee) and DoIT (the Department of Information Technology) will lead this all day workshop. The day will open with a four hour “Thinking Spatially” course, followed by a lunch and networking session with MSGIC members, then a demo of free data made available by the state. This is a great opportunity for teachers – especially those who are expected to lead the proposed APGIS&T course at their school.
