2016 American Geographical Society Fall Symposium

November 17, 2016 - November 18, 2016

Geography 2050: Envisioning a Sustainable Planet

The third annual AGS Fall Symposium will explore the vital trends that will reshape our planet by the year 2050. Members of government, academe, and the social sector will develop a geographical understanding of certain places in need of conservation and restoration. The goal of this symposium is “to map and shape a future where ecosystems and imperative resources should be conserved, restored, and sustainably managed.”

The AGS is accepting applications from AP Human Geography teachers to become a 2016 AGS Geography Teacher Fellow. Up to 50 applicants all across the country will be selected to participate in the symposium. The deadline to apply for this incredible opportunity is June 29th.
